Verification before publication

We do not publish a factual claim until at least two independent sources confirm it, or one primary document is in our possession. Direct quotes require either a recording or a verifiable archive. On-chain claims require a reproducible query.

Right of response

Where a story makes a serious adverse claim about a named person, we contact them with the specific claim before publication and give them a reasonable window to respond. We publish their response in full, or note that no response was received.

Anonymous sources

Anonymous sources are used only for direction-setting and corroboration, never as the sole sourcing for a published claim. Where we cite them, we describe their position as specifically as we can without identifying them ("a former member of the finance team," not just "a source").

Conflicts of interest

No one on the desk holds BDAG, has held BDAG, will purchase BDAG, or has any commercial relationship with BlockDAG, its competitors, or any party named in our coverage. Any incidental holding via an index product is disclosed.

Corrections policy

Mistakes are corrected promptly and conspicuously. The original error is preserved in a strikethrough; the correction is appended with a date. Material errors are also flagged in the next newsletter.

Takedowns

We do not take stories down because someone is upset about them. We do amend stories where a primary source has been retracted by its publisher or where new evidence shows our original claim was wrong. The amendment is conspicuous.
